Hospice Buffalo Bereavement Services
The caring and support of Hospice Buffalo continues after the death of your loved one. The Hospice Buffalo Bereavement Program provides support, guidance, and education. The families and loved ones of Hospice patients are eligible to receive services throughout the first 13 months of bereavement.

Individual Counseling
Hospice bereavement offers assessment, support, and guidance by professional counselors. A limited number of counseling sessions are available to our Hospice families without charge.
Correspondence Program
The correspondence program provides information on a wide range of topics such as: coping, feelings, and complexities of grief, and offers practical suggestions on dealing with them.
Bereavement Support Groups
Hospice support groups with others who have experienced similar losses can encourage adjustment and healing. Hospice bereavement groups meet at three different locations for your convenience:

Meets the 1st Monday of each month at 10:30 am
Seneca United Methodist Church - 2846 Seneca Street, W. Seneca, NY 14224
Meets 2nd Monday each month at 6:30 pm

Meets 4th Monday of each month at 6:30 pm

Memorial Service
The semi-annual memorial service provides you an opportunity to join the Hospice staff and volunteers in remembering your loved ones.
Grief and the Holidays
An annual presentation during the holiday season for anyone who is facing the holidays while coping with the serious illness or loss of a loved one.
Additional Services
Life Transitions Center, Inc. provides individual and family counseling for anyone who has experienced the loss of a loved one. Services are available for adults and children. Most insurances will cover the cost of bereavement counseling. Clients without insurance may access a sliding fee scale or pay for services privately.
